HIJAB (part of collection)

Hiding hair is obligatory and Iranian nine-year-old girls have to wear hijab (Chador or Scarf) in public. In one hand in religious’ traditional thoughts, hijab leads to chastity, immunity, purity and so forth. On the other hand, nowadays, these attributes are not as important as the act of wearing chador. People think conceptually and behave symbolically. This project illustrates well-conditioned words that you gain by wearing hijab.
I embroidered words and slogans which were written on my high school walls by my own hair. In fact, these words have lost their value and definition and they have been exposed as an adornment on chador traditional fabric which has a protection function.
